Tutoring Schedule:
Monday-Thursdays 2:45-3:15 PM. Priority given to students who ask for help in advance. Longer appointments available by circumstance. Tutoring is only available to students that comply with all campus rules and directives. Tutoring is an extension to the work done in class time, not a replacement.
Grade Category Weighting and Frequency:
Checks For Understanding – 20% (1 or more per week)
Relevant Applications – 40% (2 or more per grading period)
Summative Assessments – 40% (3 per grading period)
Late Work Policy:
A grade penalty will be applied to late work of 5 points per day the assignment is late, to a maximum of a 30-point penalty. No late work will be accepted for any outstanding assignments once their progress report or report card period has elapsed.
Cheating/Academic Dishonesty
1st Offense: Eligible for a redo subject to all other makeup/reattempt policies. Disciplinary Consequence Given,
Further Offense: Grade of 0 and Disciplinary Consequence Given.
Makeup/Reattempt Policy:
The following types of assignments/assessments can be retaken if the original score was below a 70:
Checks for Understanding: Minimum 1 per grading period, some limitations or modifications apply based on assignment type.
Relevant Applications: Maximum 1 per grading period, some limitations or modifications apply based on assignment type.
Summative Assessments: Maximum 1 per grading period, TEKS, Semester, and Final Exams cannot be retaken.
For all reattempts, the new score will be used, to a maximum of 70, only if it is higher than the original score.
Classroom Rules and Policies:
No Cell Phone Use in the classroom except when directed by teacher for specific activities.
No headphones, earphones, earbuds, airpods, speakers etc. This is a SAFETY issue, you must be aware of your surroundings and able to receive instructions in an emergency.
Student IDs (identification) MUST be worn at all times in an appropriate manner. This is a SAFETY issue. There are absolutely no exceptions. Students will not be allowed in the classroom without an official or temporary student ID.
Computers must be used for academic purposes, only and students must follow all CFISD technology rules.
No Food or Drink in proximity of any lab computers.
